Top States People Are Moving To In 2020

States that people are moving to include: Arizona (2.17%), Idaho (2.12%), Utah (1.88%), Washington State (1.72%), Colorado (1.55%), Florida (1.47%), South Dakota (1.42%), Texas (1.38%), Nevada (1.20%), and South Carolina (1.18%). These percentages are based on the state population increase.


Arizona is seeing a population increase of 2.17%. Many residents are attracted to warmer weather and low taxes. Arizona is seeing the biggest increase per year out of any other state. It has plenty of recreational activities such as biking and hiking and is home to the Grand Canyon. Interestingly, it is also a great state for people with respiratory issues, as the dry and clean air helps minimize its effects. Idaho is the next state with a population increase of 2.12%. Many people are relocating from other states because of its good cost of living and the attractive housing market. This is bringing people from other states with very high housing costs, such as New York and California. It is also full of natural landscapes, with plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities. It also has a stable job market, close to Yellowstone National Park, and is a perfect location for fishing.


Utah is the third state people are moving to at an increase of 1.88%. Utah is a popular destination for many people because of its affordability and natural beauty, with many national parks to visit and explore. It also has a rising housing market and is low on crime. Utah also has a great transportation system and has many higher education opportunities. It has a reasonable climate as well, normally going no lower than 25 F in the winter in Salt Lake City.


Next up is Washington State at 1.72%. Washington State is a great place to live because it has no state income tax and a booming job market. It also has scenic beauty with mountains and rivers. It has a perfect blend of being environmentally friendly and a wide array of outside activities. Such as boating and fishing, with skiing being a great option in the winter.
